Applied Behavior Analysis therapy (ABA) is considered to be the most recognized, evidence-based treatment for those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). ABA therapy helps to decrease and eliminate harmful or inappropriate behaviors and helps to increase communication, functional life skills, and appropriate social behavior (Behavior Analyst Certification Board, 2019; US Surgeon General, 1999; American Psychological Association, 2017).
